These days many animal lovers and independent groomers take extra care and protection and see to it that their cats are groomed, fed and trained properly. These days in markets there are many types and kinds of cat food also available which can be fed to cats and nurture them properly. As a result of this proper nourishment, these cats appear physically strong and grow to full extend. 

Their physical appearance, their hair or fur quantity, their life span and daily activities would improve tremendously. But on the contrary if the daily food intake, its daily routine activities like cleaning, grooming are neglected the cat will start it on self and as a result of which the licking activity which is the only way a cat will groom itself will increase and it would result in a severe syndrome called as cat hairball.

Cat hairball is the undigested waste material which is generally vomited or excreted by a cat as a result of excessive fur liking or self grooming activity. It is a general behavior which is exhibited in all the cats irrespective of its origin or breed, but is more common in those cats which have excessive fur growth on their body. A cat hairball should be treated with extra care and precaution and should not be neglected at any situation. A cat hairball is nothing but the hair or fur which is being licked by the cat while self grooming which is result of the owner not taking proper care of its pet, and hence the cat indulges in such activity. These hairs which easily pass through the intestine system and which are not digestible by cat are accumulated at one place and help in the formation of what one calls as cat hairball. A cat owner can avoid the formation of cat hairball by feeding them food which is rich in fiber content because it will make the fur to be strengthened and it wouldn’t fail easily. Also by indulging in regular cleaning and combing activity owner can prevent the cat hairball formation.
